Test… Test… Test…

When it comes to emails, it’s always good to be testing out subject lines to see which ones get you more of an open rate.

When you find out which ones perform better then you know how to write better subject lines to get your emails opened.

To do this, first, you need to be using an email marketing solution that will give you the statistics from your email broadcasts.

Create a spreadsheet to note down each time you send an email. It should include the following columns:

  •  Date
  • Subject Line
  • Number of Emails Sent
  • Number of Email Opens
  •  Percentage Open Rate

As time goes on you will be able to see what is your average open rate and which subject lines provide a better open rate so you can more intelligently plan your email marketing.

Smart Actions:

1) Create spreadsheet

2) Fill out spreadsheet with each broadcast

3) Make decisions based on the data you collect

All good? If not
