Why are WordPress sites more powerful than ordinary websites?

Why do search engine easily index WordPress websites and blogs while other websites struggle to get indexed?

Why do WordPress sites attract more traffic than ordinary websites?

The answer is the WordPress’s ability to PING. It’s not just a geeky term. It’s a lot more powerful tool and process than you have imagined.

“Whenever WordPress pings, many background processes happen which get your website quickly indexed by search engines as well as bringing traffic from many other sources!”

That’s when magical things start to happen….

•    Some of those websites add your blog in their directory giving you a one way link.
•    Some of those websites list your blog in their recently updated blog list.
•    Search engines quickly come to your blog, index it and start sending traffic.

My own site has jumped from a Google Page Rank of 0 to 3 in only 3 months, I’m rapt.

Isn’t this pinging service a dream come true for the website owners?

You can see that this “ping” ability has huge advantages but this same ping can work against you if you don’t use it properly.

Unfortunately, because of a serious flaw in WordPress’s pinging system you are already at risk, without even realizing it. If you are using WordPress the way it is provided then it’s very possible that by now you’re at risk of being accused of being a ping spammer.

Horrible isn’t it? But it’s true. Anytime you do edit a post or do an update you’re ”re-pinging”.

How to save your butt from getting banned as a ping spammer!

Fear not… Found a really cool tool that will save you from getting called a ping spammer. You can edit your content and site to your hearts delight and it won’t “ping”.

PLUS… you can now make advanced “posts” and it won’t “ping” until the post is published so it’s a very clever tool.

How do you get hold of this tool if you’re a past or present client of mine?

Comment on any post on my website and I’ll install it for you in a jiff. I’ll be checking for comments soon so be in the first round of installs and make a comment now!

If you’re not a past or present client and you‘re not on the WordPress platform you really are missing out on a lot.

Try going from a brand new domain, new site to a page rank 3 with very little effort and no “black hat trickery” in 3 months. That’s what this site has done when I transferred all my stuff from my 2 other core sites. To find out more just hit the big blue button “7 Keys To a Profitable Website”.

  1. Peter,

I’m just getting my new wordpress blog up and running. I have several articles that I’m starting to post so that I can actually have some content on my site as I start to promote it. Interestingly enough, I found myself changing posts, tweaking, editing etc. And then, at some point, I got some “PING thing” in my email and as one of the comments.

Peter, I’m pretty clueless as to what this means or how it works. Your post seems to speak directly to this matter. What advice can you give me? And, can you help me install this “tool” that’ll keep me from becoming a “ping spammer” right out of the gate.

    Thanks.

  2. Hi Richard,

Had a look at your site, nice. Still need to fill out your sidebar and stuff but looking good. My target market is obviously professionals looking for a better web presence plus direct marketing stuff but did you know I have a niche site for mortgage brokers. Check it out here http://www.smartmortgagemarketing.com.au/ Quite ironic I thought.

I was the same as you, editing and updating and editing posts galore. There is 2 main plugins available and the one to go for is the MaxBlogPress Ping Optimizer. You can get it from here http://www.maxblogpress.com/plugins/mpo/.

It’s easy enough to install and configure, simple as. If you need help give me a hoy back. Hope that helps.
