Karma, its a good thing. The idea is simple. The more you give out, the more you shall receive. We call it ‘Givers Gain’ in our networking group, BNI (Business Network International), it’s the BNI mantra.
It’s a universal law, a principle of success even. And it’s what solid business networking is all about.
So with that in mind I want to share with you my biggest insights I’ve picked up from running Smarter Websites for the past 7 years. Most of these tips that I’ll share with you are fr.ee and very easy to implement.
I will be sharing these insights via a series of emails over the next few months. If you’re not in our newsletter group join NOW! I won’t be upset if you unsubscribe later by the way, these emails and posts either add value to your business, or they don’t, but remember, it only takes one gem to make you wealthy. No sell, just inform and contribute.
Still onboard? Great.
If you’re a client, we’ve spoken or you’ve heard me speak you’d know I have 2 rants with marketing –
1 – Blog often – regular new posts (articles) to your website, to show both your site visitors you’re up to date and staying relevent (AND Google will love you for that too).
2 – Email often – stay in touch with your clients or those peeps who said yes to your newsletters (think they’ll remember you when they’re ready to buy? Good luc.k with that)
Having said that I’ve not been doing it either.
It’s been maybe 3 months since a blog post and even longer for an email campaign.
Why? Too many things to do and such little time. And isn’t that one of our biggest issues as business owners?
For those close to me you’d know that I lost my Project Manager a few months back so I’ve been wearing 2 hats, it’s been a busy time.
So how did I get away with running the business, setting up a new business, running our LinkedIn Workshops AND play fill in project manager at the same time?
Systems is how. I’m a systems nut, I even do my wife’s head in on this, right down to our morning coffee routine 🙂
I found a task tool that means I can delegate easily, and delegate more, know the status of that task at any time, make notes, assign peeps, due date, attach files and it does not cost a cent. It’s a gem.
As an individual and a tea.m leade.r we sav.e so much time with this tool. It really is a gam.e changer, and we’ve now applied the ‘7 Habits of Highly Effective People’ (Stephen Covey) principle to this software so you’ll never lose focus or miss capturing information and ideas again.
And it’s simple to use. I’ll share that next email.
Anyway, apologies for not doing my regular newsletter but now we’re back on track we’ll endeavour to add value to your business. Remember, it only takes one gem to make you wealthy.
Hope they help!
